La's Thai Cuisine - Scottsdale

The restaurant has incredibly friendly waitstaff who are very knowledgeable about vegan options. The curry puffs they serve are absolutely delicious!

This place has very beautiful ambiente and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. they said they could make something vegan on request. the menu does not mark what is vegan. they also have beer and wee. we had the fresh rolls. they were in order, but no more crumbling. I also had the green avocado curry. it was too salty for my taste. I'd give him another shot, but didn't love it. my brother had a vegetarian noodle dish and really liked it. 2 or 3 stars were not sharp.

My new favorite Thai restaurant feels like having dinner cooked by my Thai mother, if I had one. My family has a mix of vegans and omnivores, with some preferring spicy dishes and others not. We have been repeat customers and have always been happy with our meals. However, on a recent visit, we noticed that the spiciness of the dishes seemed to vary greatly. Despite ordering the same dish with the same level of heat, it would sometimes be perfect and other times too spicy. This inconsistency occurred over multiple visits, leaving us unsure of what to expect each time.

For the main course, I had the tofu sweet red curry and the spicy noodle with tofu (which can be made vegan by omitting the egg). I ordered them spicy and they were perfect. The tofu was cooked just right and the spicy noodles were very good. I found the spice level to be flavorful but not quite spicy enough for my taste, so I will try it next time in Thai hot. The service was excellent, with a very nice and attentive waitress. My only complaint is that the prices are a bit high compared to a nearby competitor with similar dishes priced $2-$3 lower.
