Best in Alabama (or elsewhere). Tate's Q is the best I ever had, and the vinegar fills the meat in a fine way. The thin, spicy sauce they serve on the side really makes the pork sing, and the people who walk the place are very helpful and accomodating. But don't take my word for it, go yourself.

Fantastic!. On the way back to ATL from HSV stopped at Tates. Really good BBQ. As good as Gibson's, if not better. What a find! Don't be fooled by storefront. You won't be disappointed.

Great BBQ Bad Customer Service. They have the best BBQ in Scottsboro, but the staff is so rude. Definately, worth trying. Good thing they are not a sit down restaurant.

Excellent food. We have the family 1 lb meal containing 8 hamburger rolls, Slav or beans, sauces, chips and the pound pork grill. Definitely enough for the family of four, but my son had chicken fingers. Very delicious food.
