Malone's Grille - Scotts Valley

So, i took my girlfriend here on new years eve. i called two weeks in advance to see if we needed to make reservations and the hostess said they weren't taking reservations and they had plenty of seating. we got there around 7:30 and we both ordered the prime rib special at $40 each. everything was going fine until the food came.. both cuts of meat had just as much fat as meat. and our food came on metal trays lined with paper, so every time you cut a piece of meat it had soggy paper attached to it. the asparagus was extremely over steamed. the loaded baked potato was only thing we were able to eat. when the hostess came by to ask how we were doing and if we needed a box, we both hardly ate half of our food i told her we were done, no box was needed and i told her why. she apologized and said she would let the cook know. we stayed to finish our drinks. i thought they would try to make things right. but they didn't offer anything. i have been to malones before and have never had an experience quite like this.

This place is false advertising! Their food looks nothing like what the pictures show. We went to celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary and I ordered a filet minion (they only had 1) and the lady at the cashier (you need to pay first) told me that if I didn't like my steak there were no refunds/returns ... wow! Then she informed me they were out of mashed potatoes and that they only had fries and veggies (burnt sweet potatoe fries and 3 sliced carrots LOTS of onion and maybe 5 slices if bellpeppers. The food was not good, burnt, bad quality and the customer service was the worst we've ever experienced in our life and I didn't get a filet minion, I got a rib eye so I guess they didn't have 1 filet left after all. They did not deserve our business!

We order a burger and chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich came out without bacon and I asked to have the bacon added. The burger came out with cold.potatoe fries and adked for warm one. When my chicken sandwich came back five minutes later is was dry and overcooked. I asked to get the burger my Gf, which was awesome she finished with you have to pay the difference. I guess the customer who paid ove $20 should have been much better. Stay away Manager is ruder

Horrible experience. I took my wife and kids here for dinner. There were fruit flies all over the place. My wife attempted to order multiple things from the menu but all were not available. We ordered the appetizer wings which said on the menu would come with veggie sticks but they did not. We received plates with old dried food on them. It took forever to get our entrees. I was going to give 2 stars because the server was extremely nice. That was ruined however when after I paid the bill using the QR scan code on the receipt (and received a confirmation email) the server chased down my wife as we were leaving and accused us of having not paid. We originally wanted to get an entree to go for our son who wasn’t able to come with us but after that experience we knew it wasn’t worth it. We won’t be back.

Happy hour coming back- that 's great! I had the fish tacos and they were disappointing... overload of salsa and special sauce made them anything but tasty. Just a lot of stuff piled on top of a dry piece of fish. $18. Don 't get tacos at a burger joint, i guess is the lesson..!!!
