Bidra med feedbackJust love this bakery, its one of the highlights of our visits to Eyemouth, the staff are so welcoming and friendly, the products are delicious. I can highly recommend the steak and haggis pies, we always place an order to take home with us. This is a proper old fashioned bakery, family run and the best ive ever been to, cant wait for our next visit!
Although my wife and I travel regularly to Edinburgh, we have never stopped at Eyemouth. Having plenty of time on our hands this time, we decided on a whim to visit Eyemouth. After a pleasant walk around the harbour I was feeling a bit peckish so we called in at Lough's. Steak and haggis pie, look no further, that's what I'm having! What bliss. Phenomonal! This will not be our last visit to Lough's. That's all I'm saying. Definitely not. Touching also to note the number of times the Lough name appears on the war memorial directly opposite the shop. Some things are still right in this world.
I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for fantastic baked goods. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Their fruit scones are exceptional.
We wild camped close by and I woke around 4.30am. There was a chance of seeing a comet that wouldn't pass by for another 400 years so I left my wife sleeping whilst I went comet hunting. No luck with that but as I wondered around Eyemouth I found the bakery open at 6.00am. This more than made up for lack of comet and delicious scotch pies, steal pie and croissants accompanied me back to the camper. Even at 6.00am the guy was super pleasant and happy to serve a befuddled sasanach who was surprised enough that there was two 6 o'clock let alone an open bakery!! Top croissants and probably the best steak pie I've ever had in Scotland. A swift return for coffee's and cakes for later completed the trip. Thanks!
It's great to see such busy bakeries in small towns and this was a very busy shop. Popped in to buy some tray bakes and cakes. Very tasty and soft sponge. Packed nicely too
