Gasthof Astegg - Schwendau

Wonderful restaurant with great views and access through both a hiking trail and mountain road. We liked it so much we went twice once for dinner and then for lunch! The dinner menu is more extensive so we would recommend dinner :

We had been here 3 years ago (for a number of evening) and now came back here for another week of great food. Everything is fresh, the meat is excellent (no fat, tasty, proper cooked etc) and it all just tasts great. Nice beers, wines etc. Be aware that the kitchen closes around 20:00 so be sure to get a table on time. Lovely, easy going service. Combined with great views, great food and decent prices. Highly recommend to eat here if you have the opportunity

Good value for money, nice location, good food and rooms. Hospitality plus! The welness is basic but the view is superb!

A lot of the hüttes around Mayrhofen are very busy. This one is a bit off the ususal routes. You can drive to it if necessary. We puffed our way up the hill. Fabulous views. Lovely lady who served us. Good coffee and home cooking. Would go again.

The restaurant was recommended by our hotel guest listers. very good selection of food and drinks. very friendly service. at our next stay in finkenberg we will definitely go to dinner again.
