Berggasthaus Eggalm - Schwendau

We drove into eggalm and needed some food. there are a few places to choose on the mountain, but we left (probably) on the mountain gas house eggalm near the tip of the eggalmbahn gondelbahn and just off the red track 78. the outside seat is not huge, but we have a table anyway because it was 2pm and not the best lunch time. the landscape is stunning and there are several wood carvings dotted around the restaurant (see previous uploaded photos). the main self-service area is inside, but like so many other mountain restaurants, the pizza place is separated so that they must be bothersome twice for eating when pizza and other dishes are lunchtime on their radar. eating is better than average for mountain restaurants and the pizza was certainly worth waiting. worth visiting when they ski in eggalm.

Wie immer super Stimmung bei guten Gastgebern. Bei schönem Wetter bester Ausblick, was nur fehlt ist die Lederhose des Chefs. Trotzdem kommen wir gerne wieder.

Die Lage der Egale ist perfekt für Skifahrer und Wanderer geeignet. Die Alm ist wunderschön und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Die Auswahl der Speisen und die Qualität waren gut. Bei sonnigem Wetter sind die Liegestühle in der Sonne besonders schön. Die ruhige Lage etwas abseits der Piste ist dabei auch sehr angenehm.

Nettes Ambiente und gerade noch "klein" genug um es gemütlich zu finden. Toller Ausgangs- oder Endpunkt von diversen Wanderungen. Bitte nicht vergrößern...
