Café Vorderburg - Schlitz

It is a great hotel, owner running, clocked, centrally located. The staff is very nice and polite. The wishes are fulfilled and possible. I can only recommend the hotel. Solutions for forgotten cables are also found quickly and unbureaucraticly.

Rarely one gets more cordial. The entire staff is super nice. The rooms, except the bathrooms that are renovated, are beautiful. The entire hotel is lovingly furnished. The food is also delicious.

The hotel is decorated in a historic building, but very beautiful. Lobby and rooms are very nice. Breakfast was very appealing.

I cannot judge the quality of the rooms, as a booked room has not been provided. For a cycling trip I booked a double room for 01.07.22 at the Hotel Vorderburg on 05.05.22. The booking was confirmed in writing by kind words. Two days before this appointment, I called to the hotel if we could stay two days. The owner told me amazed that I had only booked a single room. I referred to the written booking confirmation, whereupon the owner made a mistake caused by an employee. There was a very short apology and an offer of two single rooms at the total price of € 124.00. The owner replied that I have booked a double room and I do not want to pay the price for two single rooms, she already comes to meet me at the price and finally two rooms have to be cleaned. After I had discussed with my wife, she called again at the hotel and vigorously but not unfriendly to our written booking and explained that we are not willing to pay more than the confirmed 99,00 € for whom we as couple are more inappropriate single rooms. The owner then finished the conversation and sent me an unhappy email with the hint that we should look for another hotel. Due to the written booking confirmation, we had the right to a double room's agreed performance at a price of 99,00 €. The fact that there was an overbooking was not our fault. We would have accepted two single rooms for a price of 99,00 €. But so we had made a very unpleasant experience with Hotel Vorderburg.

A perfect stay during a motorcycle tour. Very friendly reception, beautiful rooms, and a wonderfully situated terrace in the middle of the Burghof, where you can also breakfast in the morning. Breakfast was excellent. In the evening, a lack of restaurant could not be eaten, but the hotel gives a really good tips for pedestrian to reach restaurants. A walk through the beautiful place full of well-maintained department stores should not be missed anyway. I wasn't here for the last time!
