Bidra med feedbackThe same procedure as every year and the duck just tasted perfect this year. Juicy still with crispy skin. Great sauce and potatoes. Service attentive and friendly. We'll be back. To Christmas the place is fairly booked, make sure to make a reservation (for next Christmas already if you do not plan to go in the course of the year). Very recommended!! Love it.
I ate here many years ago, that was worth coming back. The nephew of my wife married a local, she had never been, but was impressed. It becomes much brighter and welcoming inside since my last visit. I had the semi-roasted duck “house style” (with Calvados sauce and pepper corn cream sauce), rosti and brat red cabbage, so good. I don't know how to get the skin so crispy, but not dried. The menu is basically to go sides and sauces with half carved at the table roast duck. They are flexible on the substituting of sides and also have 2 or 3 duck shells. Nephew had a 2 years old and 2 months old, they were welcomed.
My husband and I had a dinner at this restaurant that was something to remember. We had the most delicious crispy duck with apple sauce the best we can remember ever eaten! The speciality of the restaurant was many types of duck dishes. The service was very nice and friendly and we will definitely return to this place. There is also a hotel connected to the restaurant, the same owner. I tried to find this hotel on Tripadvisor for a review, but could not find it. The hotel is so beautiful large room with beautiful furniture. The name of the hotel is Am Dortfeich. This is not only the restaurant Brechtmanns, but also the very charming hotel.
"the restaurant is well know and visited - we ate on a thursday evening and the place was fully booked!! - The main attraction is duck! The duck is well grilled with a nice crispy crust. One can however discuss how "freshly" grilled the duck is. We had the impression that the duck is pre-grilled and is then kept. The meatr is very well done, but still tender. So no bad dry meat!! The variety of dishes is realized by serving the duck with different side dishes and sauces. Each is served a complete half duck, so generous portions! We particularly liked the interesting wine list with german reds! A real treat if you make the right choice!!We stayed in the annex ( a few 100 meters ) Hotel am Dorfteich. Operated by the same team as the restaurant. The rooms are ok, the bathrooms are tiny. We would recommend the appartment, which sleeps 4. Very well suited for a small family withchildren!To summarize:a nice duck experience and a solid place to stay at affordable prices. It's no duck " á la tour d' argent "! but we could live with it.
