Amato's - Scarborough

Deception. Chicken Parm sub not better than prepacked chicken nuggets....Fleischball Sub, role was stale, ends were chewing, and house salad was old, translucent iceberg salad.... Cherry tomatoes still had the trunk and leaves.... do they even wash the products before serving? Could only be bad quality control, bad administration and from their game, but shame to spend $30 for malnutrition.

In this Amato's store stopped to get a little pizza for my daughter and I for lunch. I placed and paid the order. The cashier told me the waiting time and I started to wait and wait. Finally, an employee recognized me after waiting for more than 2.5 times longer than I was told and asked what I was waiting for. After I told her she turned to see the oven and informed me that it was my pizza that came out of the oven. While the other worker cut and boxed my pizza the person who helped me, then informed me that the additional waiting time on one of the oven did not work and that it had not worked all day. It seems to me that it would be useful to inform customers about this detail when placing their orders instead of telling them the usual waiting time. Right? The pizza was good. A little more caramelized than I prefer, but still good. Thank you. Jeremy

So inconsistent. Order a chicken Alfredo pasta. Came with no alfredo sauce and only one broccoli.

Great place to come for a real Maine Italian. The pazzo bread is one of my favorites (cheese bread), and the steak and cheese sandwich was delicious. Wait times can get long on beach weekends so plan accordingly

What can I say they make great Italian sandwiches and they cut all your veggies fresh. They are located all over the state of Maine and I really feel like they are more popular than subway in Maine. The only thing I wish was for their bread to be a little more fresh, I have had really fresh bread from other Amatos locations and we were really looking forward to this sandwich. Don't get me wrong still really good however, the bread just needed a little work.
