Vi Pei Bistro - Scarborough

Sunday breakfast anyone? I don't get out in Scarborough too often, so we decided to try Vi Pei. Judging by the name, I wasn't really sure what to expect. Parking is a little funky here, so if you're parking out front, I recommend backing in.   . We were greeted warmly and seated. Their coffee is pretty good...may be because I just woke up, but either way, I had 2 cups. My mom got the Ham, Cheese and Spinach Eggs Benedict with homefries and salad. I got the Brie Stuffed Brioche French Toast. She thinks it's weird to get salad with eggs, but that's how brunch rolls! Both dishes were huge! The hollandaise sauce is nice and creamy and they don't hold back on the veggies. My French toast was fantastic. The sweetness of the French toast went perfectly with the smooth brie. The fruit was very fresh. Good portions!

Great little place!. Went for brunch for the first time today. Very small and unnoticeable along Kingston, but worth the visit! Incredible service, all the staff were very friendly. Great selection and very good food. Will definitely be back next time we visit the city. I had the potato pancakes, which could have used a bit more seasoning, but everything else was delicious. All four others were very pleased with their meals.

This restaurant is a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a delicious meal! Barb and Rick have created a fantastic atmosphere.

We went for brunch on Sunday around noon and had to wait in line for about 10 minutes before getting a booth for 4. The food was decent, not amazing, but my family loved it. They raved about their eggs and French toast, which was adorable to see. I didn't eat much myself because I don't like onions, and my potatoes were loaded with them. I ended up giving them to my cousin and was hungry a few hours later. Normally I leave brunch feeling full, but this time I didn't. Despite that, the prices were reasonable, the service was friendly and efficient, and now my family has a new spot for brunch dates. As long as they pick me up from a subway station - I'm not making the whole trip by TTC!

I visited this restaurant for dinner on April 25th. We ordered the fried calamari, steak and lobster special, and seafood medley. The seafood was fresh and the service was excellent. Our server even made a special drink for us that wasn't on the menu. I have now rated this restaurant 5 stars because of the great job they did. I will definitely be returning for more. It's a hidden gem in Scarborough. We also tried the brunch combo platter and the eggs nova, both of which were generous portions at good prices with nice service. I look forward to returning to try their lunch and dinner options as well.
