Stella Marina - SAVONA

My husband and I took a cruise that stopped in Savona, after walking around we grew some good appetite, we decided to get in to this corner place, with very simple decoration and piles with mirrors everywhere, we where set up to have one of the best meals I can recall in all the cruise course. I believe that authentic is better, and for a very reasonable price we where served a 3 course meal out of league! I ordered a lasagna...but what a dish! It was so airy and soft and delicate, you could tell the noodles where hand made, it was layered with fresh sausage, and boiled eggs and sauce and cheese, yes boiled eggs! It was so fantastic! Then the waitress asked me for my send course pick, that consisted of seafood or meat BBQ, (not American BBQ), I picked the seafood dish and hubby the meat. When it arrived I had a bout 6 huge 1st class Prawns with a mountain of crispy fries, and lemon wedges, and he had a tray with 2 thin cut steaks and 2 big grilled ribs and a couple links of sausage, Mama mia! We had a blast eating this feast! We would of asking for dessert, but I could not take a spoonful more. Everybody else had pastries and expresso coffee that seamed to be delivered at the same time as the check. Come hungry and with time to enjoy as all the food is prepared as you order it, you would not regret it!

Atmosphere like 50' , not emphasis from staff to guest! Satisfactory pizza , not to remember and classic menu for old people!! Good prices if may be a chance!!

Wow, they must have 50 different varieties of pizza. We ordered one each and it was way too much but so much fun to try. Cooked in a brick oven with the Neapolitan thin crust, and fresh ingredients. I got the frutta di mar, and was surprised to get a pizza with clam and mussels in the shell! But it was so tasty. We stuffed ourselves and only wished we had room for more. The view? What can I say? It is right across from the castle, so could not be better.

Tras vivir en Savona 3meses, pienso que es el mejor sitio con menú de la ciudad en cuanto a calidad/precio. También tiene pizzas excelentes. After living in Savona 3months, I believe it is one of the best places with menu taking into account quality and price. They also have tasteful pizzas.
