Bidra med feedbackLoved is not a strong enough word for this place. I brought my students and they begged to go back, so we did and it was just as much fun. The owners are hilarious and the food is good soda shop fare. A must visit if you're in Savannah... But they close at 6 p.m., as the owner will tell you if you take your sweet time deciding which hotdog or sandwich to get.
What can I say about this place that hasn't been said yet? First, it is a charming little place with a lot of character. It's not a big place on every track, but it doesn't seem like it is. It is a small piece of sky in downtown Savannah in an area where you can just walk past and not even be aware. The menu is simple, but delicious. The dogs are fresh and delicious. The milkshake? You're never a stranger here. Steve is a welcoming person with a smile and a chipper setting. Stop by and have a sandwich or something. Thank you later.
My husband and I have just returned from a 4-day trip to Savannah to Indiana. It was our first time to visit this great city. We love to learn about history and meet locals when we travel. We met Steve (center owner) in one of the places near his house and branch. We had a long, nice conversation and told him we wanted to see his place. We toured all day and had hardly enough time to stop on the way to the airport. We were both so glad we stopped! Steve personally welcomed us as soon as we went to the door and felt very welcome. I had an ice cone and my husband had a shake. Both were delicious and met the place at 15:50. We didn't know they served food or we could eat there. The store was so sweet. We felt that we visited a piece of the past with the decoration and memory of the walls. We wish we had more time to take everything and learn more about this family business of the generation. Thank you for the southern hospitality Steve and we will definitely be back when we return to Savannah. Wishing you all the best!
It went past the huge Bank of America and only had to dip for a Savannah dog and grape soda. Very cool and friendly welcoming place with many really cool vintage collars to look around. The guys inside are all super friendly peeps. Clean toilets with more groovy vintage advertising signs to see. I have to go back and try something else!!
You were so nice. I was heated, they encouraged us to sit in the ac for a bit. Remembering a place from my childhood
