Bidra med feedbackIdeal location on River Street. Very nice hotel. Check on easy. The room was ready when we arrived. Clean and well maintained. All the staff are friendly and professional . The room door does not latch closed on its own, make sure to pull the door shut when you leave. Also push it shut when you get inside. Rooftop Bar is great with a pool and live music.
This hotel is conveniently located on the river, at the end of the river walk. The rooms are comfortable and have all the amenities for an extended stay. The employees are friendly and attentive (greeting me by my name when I arrive and leave). The free breakfast was usually free breakfast fare and satisfying. The rooftop bar is a great addition to this location. There is a pool, chairs, tables, and towels. The menu does not have a lot of vegetarian options available. The drink menu had great options. I particularly liked that they had my favorite brand of Pinot Noir. The view from the roof, like most, was nice and relaxing. My only complaint is that I was not warned about the construction taking place. Fortunately, the only time I was disturbed was on my last day (drilling into cement at 730 AM). It would have been considerate to share that would be going on on the side of the building I stayed. Be warned there are rooms where the view is blocked by the side of a building (if you care about that). That aside, I would definitely stay here again.
Our room was awesome, only complaint would be the door needs to open out of the toilet/shower area. Makes it seem a little crowded closing it. Staff was great. All of you, valets, check-in, bartenders, laundry people. Had a great stay beautiful view and the pool and bar on the roof was the added bonus we needed. Nearby activities: Shopping, eating, trolley, tours, music.Walkability: We walked to the main riverfront area in no timeFood drinks: Lots of places to eat and drink, wish we had more time to try more places.
Despite managements claims, there was no warning about construction. We have a city view room that’s entirely covered by construction, no reduction in rate for a “city view” that’s all construction. No effort on management or the Diamond member line to assist. Do not stay here. Don’t waste your points.I would normally always recommend Hilton hotels, but this experience has made me rethink my business strategy to support hotels who make an effort for their guests.
The staff is excellent, from the valet and front desk to the rooftop bar, everyone was great. The rooms are not very nice and the furniture is atrocious. The room smelled bad, and the couch was dirty and sunk like body odor. The room door was misaligned and had to be shoved open and closed. Everything was very worn and dated. In one room, the AC worked well in the other it was barely operating with tape holding the panel together. There were enough issues to believe that this is not just one bad room but more of a systemic issue in how well the hotel is maintained. This hotel is nowhere near the standard needed to carry the Hilton name. I stay exclusively at Hilton Hotels when in Savannah but will not be returning to this location.
