Bayou Cafe Food Truck - Savannah

We decided to have a late lunch and after a good walk around the river road came over this place. There were some great options on the menu, we decided to try fish taco and pulled pig sandwich. Also a nice, refreshing beer that was on Happy Hour (M-F 11 am to 7 pm). Both the Taco and the pulled pork sandwich were just great. The waitress was also super nice. Would definitely come back. There is also a lot of music here.

Located back atmosphere with large south kitchen. New Orleans cuisine in Savannah! Much to choose on the menu in this relaxed cafe, bar and late night music venue on the river bank. The staff was friendly and service was efficient, it was quiet when we went to lunch, but the things look to get quite vividly later. A reliable, somewhat hidden option in the heart of the Savannah Tourist Route.

Delicious, no Frills Cajun cooking. Most other places on River Street were stuffed on a Saturday night, but we found this little hole in the wall by chance, were immediately sat and continued to have a good meal. Our server Rayna was a doll, really real, that got our commands right and quickly served us. My corn cabot was perfect and the jambalaya could not have been better. We also tried the gator who was tender, and the cancer etouffeee, a sage-y contract. I had two of her signature drinks, the Margarita and the Gin Drink I LOVED. We were a little early in the evening, but Rayna invited us to come back later when the band arrived. Very sweet! We had other plans, but I wondered when I could have more of the Chowder!!
