Ambassador Fries - Sault Ste. Marie

We have been passing by this restaurant on our way back to the USA for the past two years, and knowing that they are closing for the day, we finally decided to stop. We shared a large poutine that was so generous in size that we couldn't even finish it. It was absolutely delicious, with amazing fries. I think we have found our new favorite stop on our way home! See you next year!

Every time my family visits Sault Ste. My family is happy. Great prices, great service if you are like me and hardly ever carry cash, they accept debt at the Ambassador Motel office. That was a bonus!

Great pommes! Big burger! Can't wait to come back! Not sure what else to say to get the minimum character rule... It's a chip stand... but it's good!

They should be reported to the Heart Association. We shared an Ambassador deal, burger, bacon, Canadian bacon, two slabs of cheese and the only healthy part was the lettuce tomato with the gravy covered fries with more cheese and bacon. But was it good....I had even thought of getting another burger the following evening, but held back. It is worth the trip across the border to experience this dish. Wish I had a pic of the burger.

My daughters wanted to try Poutine so figured this would be the place to go. It is located right next to the Ambassador motel they share the same driveway. We ordered the Poutine and also some hotdogs and an extra order of fries. I...was not overly impressed with the brown gravy on the Poutine but the cheese and bacon that was on it was great. Now to the fries the fries are outstanding! They appear to be hand cut and not sure what type of oil they use but the are the best I have ever had and I am not really a fan of french fries to begin with. Even the ketchup we had on the side was great and I hate ketchup. I will have to say if I was just driving this past this place I would not of stopped but I saw reviews on here and I am so glad we did. They need a neon sign out front or something. We will be going back for sure!
