Bistro's - Saugus

My mom and I have eaten here a lot. Decent food, very close by. However, a few times there have been some attitude issues from the people working there. This morning was the last straw so to speak. I was the only person in the place, I ordered my usual breakfast. The chef and the waiter were back by the stoves talking and while the chef was making my food , the waiter was coughing repeatedly, without covering his mouth at all. Not a huge deal I suppose, but it was bad enough that it made me uncomfortable. So I mentioned something to the waiter when he came over to the table to bring ketchup. He seemed to not think it was an issue. I was very polite and asked if he would mind covering his mouth if he 's back near the food coughing. He said don 't worry about it, it 's normal, it 's not a problem. Then he proceeded to immediately head into the back and say something in a language I couldn 't understand to the chef and start laughing. I don 't know if he was talking about me, maybe not, but I couldn 't imagine it wasn 't about the request I just made. So I went to the counter and the chef came out, very aggressively, clearly upset by his facial expression. I said excuse me but are you guys making fun of me for politely asking the waiter to not cough in or around my food with his mouth uncovered? And he said we know how to handle food, there 's no problem do you want your food!? Do you want your food or not!? So I told them I did until they reacted that way. Super disrespectful and rude, and arrogant. Totally unprofessional. And it sucks because I did enjoy their food. I left. Will not being going back. Same for my family and friends. Not giving my money to someone who gets aggressive and rude because I don 't want my food coughed on. Good luck Bistro, hope you learn how to interact with customers. Even if you thought I was being ridiculous, you could 've reacted in almost any other way and it would have been fine

I had breakfast at Bistro's for the first time and I'm bummed I didn't take any food pictures. The food here is delicious and the presentation makes any plater appetizing. I had the Hash egg Benedicts and my husband had the early special. Their coffee is to die for! The service is outstanding! The decor is so elegant. A cute little restaurant that I can't wait to go back and try dinner. This is a BYOB restaurant with a small fee which I think is reasonable and completely worth it!!! This place is definitely a hidden gem.

Love love love this place. I come here almost twice a week for breakfast. It's such a cozy spot and the service is great. Best breakfast in Saugus for sure ! Highly recommend !
