Bidra med feedbackWe were looking for a place to eat after a week of camping in Sauble beach. We all were craving fries and a good homemade burger. I like to try little hole in the wall places in small towns as they usually have good homemade food. Not this place! The place was 1/2 empty. 1 cook Mike seemed overwhelmed. He looked like he was running around and having trouble keeping up. My burger was tough like it was over mixed and microwaved. I could hear the microwave often while we were there. The fries with our burgers were frozen variety that tasted cheap and almost freezer burnt tasting. The gravy was runny package stuff that was actually tasteless. Watered down gravy mix. My wife's chicken burger special was missing the bacon and when we pointed it out they argued that the special didn't have bacon but it was written on he board as such. My daughter's chicken caesar wrap was very skimpy on the chicken. She said 2 small pieces and a tonne of caesar dressing. I was very disappointed that this hole in the wall, nice looking restaurant with terrible food, was not offering good homemade food. I would have been more satisfied if I went to a fast food restaurant. The server even said she would not be working there after today due to the poor food they serve.
We went here for breakfast. The food was okay. Our waitress was very friendly. It took a while for our food to come. It is a pricey place to eat. My standard breakfast was over $8.00 which back home would cost me $4.95 My wife had 3 very tiny pancakes which cost $6.99 It would be better if they had left off the garnish. It was a wilted piece of lettuce and dry orange slice.
Delicious breakfast. I had a toasted western with homefries. Homefries are home made. Restaurant is extremely clean. Be warned cash or debit only.
Decided to eat breakfast out...should have paid closer attention to the other reviews.Sirly service, badly cooked and cold. Came with a limp lettuce, dried out orange slice and mouldy strawberry garnish. To their credit when we complained about the soggy tasteless french toast, it was comped....and we got free refills on the coffee. In our 5 years in Canada I have never seen anywhere that charges for coffee refills.Expensive for what you get!A clear cut case of people thinking they can run a restaurant when they barely have the skills to cook.Papa said the only thing that was good was the toast...but they charged $1 extra for Rye!
We went here for breaky on a Sunday morning. The food was good. The eggs Benedict was good, though the hollandaise was curdled. It does not really affect the taste but it looks God awful! Lots of crispy homefries. Service not overly warm just adequate.
