Bidra med feedbackAt Café Gumpfer you can have a quick meal or lunch break for a warm drink and some sweetness. Everything is well presented with good service. The selection of cakes is up to the most demanding customers and the coffees and teas present some creative twist, such as hot white chocolate with a shot of espresso... lovely. The ambience is pleasant and the view of the Baltic Sea is difficult to beat, thanks to Gumpfer's best location at the beginning of Europe's second tempting pier, which also doubles as a beautiful promenade.
We stopped here for lunch soup and a beer. I had the goulash soup which was really tasty and my husband had the potato soup with a sausage. Both enjoyed. The setting, right on the water, is just gorgeous. Their cakes/ desserts looked really nice so we will visit again to try them and have a coffee.
After some disappointing experiments, we found this place for breakfast. The food was excellent, the breakfasts ranging from the tiny Mouse's to the huge Admiral's for two were well-designed, the service wss friendly and impeccable, the view of the sea awesome. Sadly, it was too early to try the beautiful cakes. Although it is not exactly cheap, it felt cheap, since we had paid exactly the same price for a terrible breakfast at a ripoff place nearby the day before...
Wonderful Kuchen just steps away from the sea! Eat indoors or outdoors. Locals assured me this is tops in Sassnitz for the baking, but enjoying a beer out on the patio on a sunny afternoon is pretty fine too. One could lose track of time here, between the sweets, the suds, and the sea.
Tolle Lage direkt am Meer, super Desserts, grosse Auswahl an Süßem, kleine Bistro-Karte, immer empfehlenswert.
