Bidra med feedbackEntrée was delicious. Had the Filet Mignon and it was done perfectly. The seasonal vegetables were wonderful and the service was about as good as I've ever had. Highly recommended.
Wonderful. My husband and I went for a meal here a few nights ago and loved it. The food was incredible, I had the Mahi Mahi with wasabi mashed potatoes and my husband tried the Duck. Both were cooked perfectly and the flavour was amazing. In addition to the food being great, the staff was wonderful. We mentioned that the renovations were beautiful but it needed candles on the table and the lights to be turned down. Moments later they turned down the lights and brought us a candle, how sweet: Two thumbs up for this place!
Great sunday brunch! The brunch starts at 10:30 am on Sundays. We came in at 10:20 and found the place was pretty much full. We were lucky to get a table, as the guests arriving after us had to be seated in the lounge. It looks like everyone's coming in early to get a table, and just waited for the brunch to start. Once the buffet is open, everyone started lining up so the line could be pretty long. On the buffet there are your typical brunch buffet items: bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, egg benedicts, french toast and pancakes. On one side there's cereal and toast station. There's also a selection of cheese, pickles, and salads. There's egg station where you can get an omelette and waffles. It's also the place to get roast beef carved for you. At the end of the line is where you get your juices and desserts. The dessert station looks pretty good, there's cheesecake, chocolate cake, and pies. I really enjoyed my brunch here, although it is a bit pricey $19 a pop). They serve Starbucks Coffee with your brunch, so to me it's a plus. It will be nice to come back here once in a while, or just wait for another groupon promotion. I love waffles and they make a good one here, so it's worth the wait!
Pleasantly surprised. My wife and I recently ate at the Great North American Grill for dinner and were surprised at how good it was. Mostly surprised because I've never heard of anyone eating here or raving about how great it is. Maybe since it's in a hotel on 22nd street people don't expect it to be all that great so they pass it up. I've eaten at many of the nicer, fancy restaurants in Saskatoon and I would put Great North American Grill in that category, as well. For an appetizer we had the Ravioli/parmesan with jumbo tiger prawns. I had the Mahi Mahi with wasabi potatoes and spaghetti squash for the main dish. Everything was perfect and the presentation was very nice. My only complaint would be that the menu didn't have much for chicken options. The entrées were: salmon, trout, mahi mahi, pork chop and sirloin. There was also another entire beef section with steaks and such, but I didn't see any chicken except for those with pasta. The menu that is shown currently on urban spoon is also not the menu they are using now. They might change their menu often. Overall, it was really good and we were really happy. I would compare it to Weczeria but with larger portions and a bit less expensive.
Create your own salads!. They have a great lunch item where you can create your own salad with whatever greens you want, berries, veggies, goat cheese etc.! They are awesome. My favorite is mixed greens with cucumber, tomatoes, yellow pepper, goat cheese, cashews and their poppyseed dressing.
