Bidra med feedbackThis restaurant is very unique, located in a remote area. The food was delicious, but the prices were 30% higher than expected compared to Vancouver, where we are from. We decided to share a dessert after our main course, which was underwhelming. There were additional charges of $16.95 (per person) that we had not anticipated. The bill for 4 main dishes and 2 desserts (without drinks or appetizers) came to $192.50 before the tip. We had to leave our table to pay next door in the store, as the check was not brought to us. The invoice was confusing and did not match the prices on our menus. We wondered if all menus had the same prices. The service was lackluster, but we still tipped 15%. Our friends who used to frequent this restaurant before COVID will not be returning, and neither will we.
We made reservations because I didn't want to drive the 40 minutes from Saskatoon to find that we couldn't get a table. We came and it wasn't crowded. If you're not looking for it, you couldn't even think of stopping. It looks like a half-running petrol station from the outside with interesting things all around, like a part of two trucks hanging on a tree. If you go in, go into what looks like the kind of business you would see on a campsite. From there you go to the actual restaurant, and it is like a walk to another world. The restaurant is very nicely furnished and unusual! The owner's wife is the cook and her daughters are the waitresses. We talked to both daughters and both were very nice and friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. This place was recommended by someone in Saskatoon and it was well worth the ride.
After a thirty-minute drive, my companions and I arrived at the restaurant feeling famished. As we perused the menu, we couldn't help but notice the high prices. While we understand that the cost of ingredients and transportation has gone up, we were not expecting the prices to be so steep. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to our expectations either; it was mediocre at best.
We live only 30 minutes from this restaurant and were excited to try it out based on the stellar reviews. As someone with experience in the restaurant industry, I rarely complain, but unfortunately, our anniversary dinner did not live up to our expectations. The appetizer was amazing, but our main courses were disappointing. My steak was overcooked and dry, while my husband's ribs were tough. Despite the owner suggesting a different cooking method, the quality did not improve. The service was also lacking, with our server disappearing and us having to search for her to request dessert and the bill. The prices for our drinks were much higher than expected, and the portion sizes were smaller than advertised. Overall, we were very disappointed with our experience and will not be returning to this restaurant.
I spend a fantastic time with my friends and I tasted Turkish food it was delicious specially künefe.
