Joey's Restaurants - Saskatoon

I've been a fan of Joey's for years. I've always loved their fish and chips regardless of their portion sizes. I would agree that the price can be pretty up there, but overall I didn't mind paying since it's my favorite fish shack in town. however, the issues I've found lately is that the quality has severely dropped. their fish used to be absolutely amazing hot or cold, but now im struggling to eat it even sitting in the restaurant now. the batter doesn't have nearly enough flavour as it used to, and it feels like the portions only shrunk even more. their fries have never been my favorite either, as they are very hit and miss. never had much flavour, not very crunchy. almost raw. but the fish has always been something I thoroughly enjoyed. unfortunately the last two times I ordered their food, once through Skip, it was very disappointing. lack of flavour, very bland. i figured it had been a fluke, since not only two months ago i had their fish and it was amazing. so I sit in the restaurant now, eating their 3 piece with fries and im disappointed once again. little to no flavour in the batter, and it falls right off the fish. overcooked sometimes, under others. overall, very disheartening as I've loved this restaurant ever since I was a little boy. definitely heartbroken.

Order taken very quickly then waited over half an hour to receive, only three other customer in at the time. When the food arrived the cries were cold and going hard not edible the fish was not but very small not even an inch wide. Server never showed up until the meal was finished and when informed of the cold food only offered to give replacement fries to take home which would of been cold when arrived and I wanted hot fries with the meal. We were charged the full price for the meal and no further acknowledge was made of the service. Would not recommend this restaurant and will not return again as the service is always slow

Food I've had is good but I won't be going back until this location does a makeover!! It's disgusting. It's filthy. It's gross! And I'm trying to enjoy a meal there????ewwwww. And if the kitchen staff can keep their voices down that would be good too. Nothing worse than people yelling in a foreign language when I'm eating the food they just prepared. Where's the love people! Last time I'm going there. Ewwwwwww. Gordon Ramsey we need you here!!!!!!!

Joined the Joey's only mariner club which features a Buy one get one free 2 piece Fish and Chip plate. Usual great service with great food. Kudos to management to have such a dedicated employee.

Went in for 2piece fish and chips. The portion was very small. Very Thin slice of pollock dip in lots of batter. Not impressed. I could have bought a boxed fish and chips at the grocery store and gotten bigger pieces of fish. Won’t be going back. Not worth the price.
