As recommended by michelin, this place is an old hotel/restaurant that has excellent kitchen and wine cellar. we had the menu eur and loved the taste, local dishes and good service. comes back.
I'm sorry that my review has already been carried out for the hotel talmühle, as I couldn't find her restaurant before looking at my hotel review. it is worth trying.
The restaurant serves excellent and Michelin star prizes for gourmet food at the ranch of the black forest. we had ordered a prefixed menu, but the cook was very flexible to change several courses due to certain nutritional requirements. every single curs was a joy, a festival of the aromen. this applies both to the actual menu and to the spontaneous substitutes. the service was at the beginning a bit distant, but developed in the run of the meal to be friendly and very attentive. the ambiente of the restaurant is rustic, typical black forests. good if you like it. we will be back in summer to enjoy the huge garden restaurant.
We stayed at the Hotel Talmühle and ate at their one star Michelin Restaurant Fallert. The food was delicious with an amazingly genrous portioned course dinner for a reasonable price for a one star Michelin restaurant in Germany! We started with a delicious carppacio...of mackerel! Then a delicious brill. We were ready for dessert and were surprised to get another course of pigeon perfectly prepared in a apple vinegar sauce. The chocolate rasberry dessert was sumptious too! The meal focussed more on perfectly cooked ingredients and less on the more popular fancy creations/inventions found often in trendy upscale restaurants. This was perfectly fine with us! The only minor problem was that they were clearly busy on a Saturday night with not enough waitresses to serve. We waited forty minutes before an amuse bouche of salmon arrived and when we barely put our fork down the first dish arrived. We suspect the amuse bouche was remembered at the last minute. We had however a delcious local white wine Alde Gott and didn't notice the time pass. The waitress was also very cordial and as efficient as could be given how many tables she had to wait on. The hotel was completely correct and remember your walking shoes! Amazing walking paths designated for any length desired!
