Maison St. Aubin - Sarnia

From the moment we made our reservation to the minute we left the restaurant, my girlfriend and I had an amazing experience. The owner was charming and made us feel welcome right from the start. I called a few days before Valentine's Day and knew right away that we were in for a special evening. The owner even took the time to visit each table and have a chat with every guest at the end of the night, which added to our overall enjoyment. Our servers were friendly, knowledgeable, and delightful. And the food was simply incredible. From the French onion soup and mussels to the filet mignon and rack of lamb, and finishing off with the best chocolate lava cake I've ever had, every dish was outstanding. The mashed potatoes were also the best I've ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in Sarnia looking for a fantastic night out.

A traditional French bistro with French music playing in the background. I ordered the salad greens, while my wife enjoyed the red pepper squash soup, which was excellent. She also had the coconut shrimp with a spicy sauce, which we both enjoyed. I had the Norwegian salmon, which was delicious, particularly with the tasty veggies, including a leek. Overall, a pleasant surprise in a small town and a definite improvement over our experience at River Crab last night.

We recently visited St Aubin and absolutely loved our meal...the veggies were not overdone..the horseradish sauce for my pickerel was not harsh and my friend lamb was perfect !!! The staff were very attentive but not overbearing..very pleasant and timed everything perfectly. The pianist was fabulous!! We could have stayed for hours just to listen to him play. Well Done St Aubin..we will be back!!!

Very good food, attention and location. It is on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for

This was absolutely incredible. Authentic European experience, nothing was rushed, Parisien music in the background, food was incredible and our server, Chris, was fantastic and knowledgeable. The owner Marcel even played a song for us at the end of our meal. This was my first time coming here and it will not be the last. Unbelievable.
