Bidra med feedbackWe got curious then we got chocolates! The type you treat yourself once a while! They're a treat to the eye palate ! Angelica said she developed the recipes, made painted the treats. We tried solid milk (kid's choice), sea salt caramel (husband's choice), bing cherry, coconut lime (my choices). All were excellent except the sea salt caramel. My husband tasted too much salt. We were thinking to let the owner know so she could consider making adjustment to her recipe but in the end we thought maybe it's just that piece...We'll be back to try others!
Fine dine chocolates medium to dark. The craftsmanship is beyond words at this place. Beautiful premium chocolates. Great for gift giving.
If you're looking for a photogenic and delicious gift, look no further than Plumed Horse Chocolaterie by Angelica! Having been on my bookmarks list for a long time now, I finally stopped by during their open hours and had a chance to try their truffles. They also have pre-assorted truffle sets available for purchase if you dine at The Plumed Horse next door. It wasn't busy when I arrived around 5:30pm on a Saturday, and I split a few truffles to try with my parents. Out of the Hazelnut, Marzipan, PB&J, Pistachio Truffles $5/each, I tried the Marzipan and PB&J. All the truffles are gorgeous, and each one is hand painted by Chef Angelica herself. The marzipan had good almond flavor, and the I liked the peanut butter and jelly in the PB&J. The chocolate was also rich and smooth, and very high quality. I just wished there was a little more filling in the truffles. As other Yelpers have mentioned, the price point is on the higher side. I hope to be back soon to try the other truffle flavors. No seating area is available indoors or outdoors. Parking in this area can be extremely difficult during the weekend lunch and dinner hours, but parking lots and limited street parking spots are available.
Gourmet chocolate maker quality that you probably won't find anywhere else except in Europe. The owner was so nice. We were walking by to see if they were open and she let us in for a few minutes to buy some, even though they were not open. Outstanding service and explanations. We bought a small box and they were some of the best chocolates I've ever had. The banana and raspberry had incredible flavor. It's $5 a chocolate but, worth it for the quality. It's a truly unique place.
Best chocolates in the Bay Area bar none. Hand made and always a big hit at any party or as a gift.
