Poppo's Taqueria - Sarasota

We first discovered Poppos on UTC about 6 months ago and when we found out that it was closer to us, were ecstatic! The design and atmosphere of the restaurant is spacious and comfortable. The open-air food is great. The staff is friendly and, as expected, the food in silence is unsurpassed!

Wow! We were pleasantly surprised how great this place was. It is certainly the best value on Main Street. We had a large bowl and a freshly made queen. Both were delicious and because it was adapted to exactly what was wanted, they seemed perfect. We can't wait until we go back to this unpredictable food.

I'm just in the spot. Also the same song played in the restaurant that I woke up until this morning, so it blows a little kismet on this Burrito dish.

I was visiting the Sarasota area over the weekend and ran into this delightful Taqueria. The food was fresh and tasty, corn tortillas are pressed and grilled right in front of you, and they make chips that are to die for! Absolutely recommend.

The quesadillas are awesome! Poppo's has a great and flavorful selection of toppings and they also have beer available. The prices are pretty reasonable, though I think it's a bit much to charge 50 cents extra for sour cream and $2.50 for guac. Overall a great place for a quick lunch. I highly recommend.
