Hank's Creekside - Santa Rosa

Hanks is dependably good, so much so that I'll take guests from out of town to show them a staple of Santa Rosa breakfast dining. Much like Mac's downtown is. But why is Hanks always so packed? All of the time? I've yet to find the answer to that question, but I'm certain it isn't the food. Perhaps the constant lines of hopeful attendees, outside the full micro-parking lot give an aura of prestige and exclusivity. However despite my grumbling the food really isn't subpar, it's great, its just... It's just it isn't anything too special, to ya know, justify the rest of the experience. So come enjoy Hanks, a Santa Rosa breakfast cornerstone. Its a good time for an affordable price. The Benedict's are pretty clutch.

We chose this establishment based on reviews and it came highly recommended. This review is based solely on food and half of the service. We ordered the biscuits with gravy one hot cake and bacon. The biscuits and gravy were not something you would write home to mother about. It could have been seasoned better and presented in a more appealing way. The bacon saved me. Cooked to perfection. The problem child of this breakfast was the huevos rancheros. We had the huevos but where was the ranchero. Issue number one the corn tortillas were not fried and appear to be just out the package and laid down. Issue number two..the beans were not charro beans they looked like unseasoned canned pinto beans. Issue number three the salsa was not giving what it was supposed to be given no flavor no seasoning no nothing. Then lastly the ice cream scoop of sour cream destroying it all. We requested to have the meal replaced and was met with attitude about why we sent it back and politely we stated ?there is no seasoning?. We ordered another meal and were not comped for the huevos rancheros (which is fine but needed to state this just in case you think you?ll get your meal comped..you won?t. 10/10 do not recommend and suggest you spend your money elsewhere (see my other review of the breakfast place we went to today

Came to this restaurant, because of the good reviews. Let me tell you, IT WAS DELICIOUS!! The Denver omelet was mouth watering good. Even the English muffin was great! The side of sausage patties were huge and the fresh fruit dish was amazing. Should not have given a 5 star rating. Should be a 6!!! Thanks to the best server also!!!!

Talk about good old fashion family restaurant experience. What a way to start a Sat morning with smiles, very friendly and accommodating employees. My friend and I split an omelette breakfast and it was delicious and already split into 2 plates for us. The coffee was continuously refilled and fresh creamer already at the table. This has become my new favorite bfast spot. Thank you Hank's for a wonderful bfast experience this morning!

All the servers were old times friendly and funny, and you don?t find that much anymore. The breakfast is fantastic.
