La Sidreria - Santa Pola

Great location adjacent to the castle near the east gate. Visited with friends a few years ago and was looking for the opportunity to return. We were certainly not disappointed. Excellent food and very helpful waiter. We, as most do at lunchtime opted for their menu of the day at €12.50 plus supplements on certain main course options and included wine, dessert and coffee. The waiter, who we discovered had spent 5 years working in Hastings, assisted us in explaining the menu. The starter consisted of fresh bread with butter (not alioli), a mixed salad with cheese and dressing with two different tapas to follow. The choice of main course was quite extensive with interesting additions to ensure your choice was not easy, but you knew your taste buds were in for a treat. We selected a cod and duck option, both excellent. For dessert we opted for an apple filled crepe and a coffee flan, both cleared in no time. We certainly won't allow as long a time to elapse before we find an excuse to return. Thank you La Sideria for such a great culinary experience. Iain and Sue

We had a 'menu del dia ' lunch accompanied by a delicious bottle of cider. All of the meal was first class and at 13.5 euros, great value.

Me lo han recomendado y he salido decepcionada. Justo que decidí llevar a mis padres. Veíamos los cachopos de las otras mesas, enormes, con un dorado suave. Cuando llegaron los nuestros una decepción. Uno bien de tamaño, el otro la mitad y pasados de cocción y no son baratos 29,50€.Las patatas fritas no estaban crujientes. Los chorizos de entrante eran con patatas hervidas, los podrían hacer como en otros sitios, con huevos y patatas fritas. La ensalada de frutos secos y queso estaba buena y la camarera era atenta. No dije nada porque estaba con mis padres y no he hecho fotos, casi siempre hago.

El día 4 enero comí con mi familia un menú de la casa que nos gusto, la única pega fueron los postres no les quedaba algunas de las cosas que nos ofrecieron y tardaron unos 45 minutos en servir el postre se nos hizo un poco pesado el ambiente bueno, la persona que nos atendió bastante agradable la pega que le veo al restaurante es que no tiene personal y la persona que está no llega a todo
