Don Porfirio - Santa María Huatulco

While this restaurant uses fresh fish, they have significantly little or no idea how to eat and grill the fish in our case. the only positive would be the decent garnel avocado salad. the rice was microsaturated and the vegetables had no aromen. it was a complete disappointment and by local standard expensive.

People from our resort recommended this place. So glad we went there. Food, service, atmosphere, people were great! We went back a couple of times and recommended them to lots of people.

It was conveniently located not far from where we were staying and it seemed to get pretty good reviews so we thought we would give it a try. Price wise it was good not over priced for the quality of food. The restaurant was not...busy just us and another table. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was ok, nothing I’d rave about though. They do a Cesar salad presentation that I was sure would produce a fabulous salad but the dressing fell short of anything I’ve ever tasted. It was ok. Nothing was awful but nothing was overly delicious either. No big wow factor here. IMO the ambiance, decor and music could definitely use an update. It’s in a pretty good location to the resorts and maybe they cater to a different clientele that sees things differently but we would not consider this worthy of a 5 for dining options.

When we walked into the restaurant, we were sprayed with a mist that contained a disinfectant. We were not told this would happen. It was all over our clothes, our hair, our skin. They couldn’t tell me what kind of disinfectant it was. Not did...they tell me in advance that they were going to spray me. Whatever was in it, gave me a wicked headache. The staff tried to tell me that everyone is doing this which is not true no other restaurants that I have been to in the past has had this.

Se me hizo bien a secas la comida, atención correcta, lugar bien, pero un poco por arriba de precio de lo que debería de ser. En la parte de Tangolunga solo están ellos y otro restaurante mas, por si note quieres mover, pues seria una de dos opciones.
