The Jerk House - Santa Cruz

This place was SO GOOD and so cheap. I think it was $117 for four people meals a bottle of wine and three beers. This is basically unheard in Santa Cruz. The whole food was sooo delicious. We had the little Jerk Chicken, veggie tacos, the big goat plate and the large ribbed plate. Not pictures here are our fried Plantains Ruck chips, which were also so amazing. He's pretty big, so we were all able to bring the remains home! Our service was excellent, and we could sit on the terrace while a solo reggae artist played. This was my first time here, but they made a life customer today. Will be 100% back and would recommend 10/10 to check it out.

Absolutely incredible food here!!! It is worth it even if it is out of the way! No disappointment!

Our waitress worked here since the opening of the place, about three years. She still seemed to love the job and the food and it was cool to see her connection with the kitchen staff who make stupid good food. Home cooked, perfectly spicy, very authentic, stupid good food. This is the next thing Santa Cruz has to comfort.

The food was delicious and the service was pretty good. There were choices of vegan and vegetarian choices and the meat eaters were also happy. We felt they had to hire a 2nd waitress, as we waited longer than we were used to and stressed the waitress.

My family and I were in Santa Cruz, and found this hidden gem on Yelp. The food is authentic, well-prepared, and delicious. the service is also friendly and attentive but not obtrusive. We will be back any time we are in the area.
