Oceans - Santa Cruz

LOCATION PERMANENTLY CLOSED My fiancé and I walked to this location yesterday (9 14 22) after looking at the good reviews online. It shares a building with a Korean bbq restaurant inside. We went inside to order at Oceans and the lady working at the Korean bbq register told us that Oceans has permanently closed down and that it's been closed for at least 2 months now. We were frustrated because online and here on Yelp, it doesn't indicate anywhere that this restaurant is no longer in business. It showed the regular operating hours and that it was still open. The restaurant name logo is also still on the building and the menu and everything is still inside as if it were still open. We wouldn't have walked clear across downtown Santa Cruz had we known it was closed down.. Posting this for anyone in the future that has hopes of going here! I was so bummed out.

Food was terrible. Do not recommend clam chowder, it looked and tasted expired. Salad was brown. Plates were dirty and cups had stains. Water tasted like it came straight out of a river ?. And service was really slow.

Excellent service, love the atmosphere and the vibe.Food was top notch, I had the calamari and the shrimp tacos. Oceans also has a good selection of draft drinks, my go-to is the Slo-Brew Hefeweizen.Reese is an awesome server!

Delicious food,!! try the Korean mojito. I was incredibly surprised and I am a drink snob! Very friendly staff! and outside seating An excellent addition to Santa Cruz! We highly recommend this little gem!

Reese was the best! She said the Shrimp tacos are great that was an under statement! She and the owner were the top tier in customer service. Thanks from Us.
