Bidra med feedbackGood vibes and nice staff. I liked the food too (fish roe and eel rice), it was both delicious and colorful but it was burnt at the bottom of the dolsot and the portion was a bit smaller than what I expected.
Great Food. I was looking for an option that could serve fried Tofu and chicken bibimbap. Those were very good but had to be substituted while ordering. Great service and very friendly.Vegetarian options: Get the Tofu Bibimbap it's really good and ask for the dipping sauce and spicy sauce.
I was really craving some Bossam and heard Silla Modern Kitchen was a solid option to get my fix. We stopped by on a Friday during lunchtime and was the second party to eat inside. We ordered their Bossam $49+4 extra for garlic) and the seafood scallion pancake $26). The seafood scallion pancake was phenomenal- it was so crispy and contained a good amount of seafood bits in every bite. The bossam arrived with freshly washed lettuce and some picked radish. It was very flavorful, especially when you add the hot sauteed garlic on top. I will say it seemed quite pricey for just two fairly normal Korean dishes with standard portions. I only had 2 pieces of the pancake to bring home and we finished the rest of the food with ease. I was also pretty disappointed in their banchan- it looked really nice with a few varieties, but it all tasted pretty bland. I ended up skipping most of it and focused on the dishes we ordered. Overall, I'd still probably come back just to have their seafood scallion pancake again and maybe try some other dishes on the menu. The service was nice and attentive and I think going on a weekday for lunch is a good call since it wasn't busy.
I had high hopes for the modern Korean restaurant, but I was disappointed with the quality of the food. I would prefer to take my non-Korean friends elsewhere for a better Korean dining experience.
Overpriced. Below average cooking.Outdated kimchi. Small portion. Overpriced drinks. K-Culture Trendy place for rookies. Not recommend.
