Bidra med feedbackAmbience is great. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. Food was ok, not spectacular. We ordered seafood pasta and cioppino, which looked almost the same I was not impressed by the flavors, nor presentation. But I wouldn't mind coming back to try something different...
Wow. I haven't really experienced an authentic locals hangout that didn't feel hipster. This place was great. The staff is on top of it with a nice bar and great bar tenders. The food is great but you better come ready to eat. The seafood is coastal fresh and prepared the way fresh seafood should be. Worth the stop if in Santa Barbara.
Location is awesome. The view of the harbor is great. Food is overpriced for what you get and portion size, but you 're paying for location. Only had one 'local ' fish dish listed on the menu. Our server was great, but the hostesses were disinterested and not concerned with our reserved seating request. Nice rotating wine selection, and some hearty cocktails.
We live in SB. This was our first visit to Chuck's at the Waterfront. They must have been very busy because it took about one hour to get our food. And when the food arrived, the veggies were as hard as a rock, not edible. My halibut was delicious and my daughter's hawaiian chicken was over cooked and her rice was hard and undercooked. The guys had the steak sandwich, which they enjoyed. The scenery was beautiful overlooking the harbor, but the prices for the food was ridiculous! The service was okay, but when it came to pay the bill, we showed up with to gift certificates, which the staff when we phoned, indicated that they would honor at both Chuck's. The manager at the Waterfront didn't want to take our gift certificates and wasn't very professional. In turn, they did take our form of payment, but I wouldn't go back. There are too many other restaurants in SB with better food and better or similar prices.
We enjoyed an amazing view of the harbor while enjoying our delicious happy hour food and drinks!!!
