Bidra med feedbackI took three girlfriends to have lunch there yesterday, what a disappointment. I had talked up the fried fish, and the margaritas. We were told there was no whole fish, the fish for the tacos was a week old, I said it must be frozen then, no our waiter replied, it is in the refrigerator. Week old fish stored in the refrigerator, and still being served? I ordered a turkey sandwich, it came with turkey ham, not turkey. Big difference! One friend ordered the mixed ceviche, and said the fish in it was soft and mushy. We had ordered Margaritas, got a small glass, for $130 pesos, they were not made from fresh limes, but the stuff that comes in the bottle. We were the only diners for a while, another couple came in, they were served large margaritas in the usual glasses, not the tiny glasses given to us. I as so upset that I had suggested this restaurant to my girlfriends, given the disappointing food and drinks, and mediocre and poorly responsive service. Lots of other choices for lunch in Puerto, don’t make the same mistake that I did.
We ate there twice while where down on vacation. Good drinks, food and service. If you want they will do sushi, the burger is good, blt, nacho's all in all a nice joint. One day the server was over at the Villa and served us beachside
I live in Puerto Aventuras but not at the hotel yet I'm always accorded a warm welcome. Not only are the margaritas and caipirinhas strong and affordable, but the GUACAMOLE with cheese garnish and salsa Mexicana can serve as an entire lunch....for under U$S 10 !
The drinks are small and not good. The margarita was the worst I have ever had. The non-alcoholic drinks the kids said were just okay. Service wasn't super friendly either.
We stayed at the Omni over winter break 2013-14. This is a fun bar by the pool and beach at the Omni that serves drinks and food. On the pool deck side, you reach the bar from the hot tub side where there are benches and tables in the water. There is music and people in the hot tub all day... drinking, eating and enjoying themselves. On the beach side, there are walk-up stools and a nice view. Miguel, Dany and Clemente work hard making drinks, getting cervezas and cooking everything from burgers and chicken sandwiches to nacho platters, fish, wings, etc. We had some very nice days on the beach and being taken care of by the great people at Pina Colada. Salud from room 302!
