Mezcalex - Santa Águeda

The start was promising but it went quickly downhill! A restaurant finally offered Tacos el Pastor...it was good and a great price. Sadly, they didn't always offer it and got rid of the woman making fresh tortillas. Very inconsistent with their hours and staff. Big, big FAIL!

We chose this place because it started serving tacos al Pastor. There was only one waiter trying his best to take care of everyone, but that meant we had a very long wait before being served. Not sure how many people were preparing the food, but it seemed like they were very sort handed in the kitchen, too. Making the wait seem even longer are the wooden, flat seat, straight back chairs. Those become uncomfortable quickly.The tacos were worth waiting for, but with such slow service I had to mark down this restaurant.

Delicious Don Julio silver margarita!!! The best we had all week and great prices!!!! Even our resort could not top this treat!

Stick to the basics here - beer, margagritas, fish and shrimp tacos. Order plenty and enjoy! We had to order more fish tacos - twice. Great people watching and you can even see the dolphins at the exhibit across the way.

So wonderful to have authentic tacos in town after all these years! Would be nice if beans and rice were included on the plates.
