El Taco Loco - Santa Águeda

¡Visité este restaurante dos veces! Me encantó. Soy de Costa Rica y queríamos probar comida mexicana... ¡Altamente recomendado! En nuestro próximo viaje a México, ¡será nuestro primer destino a visitar!

Creo que es un buen lugar para comer, tiene una excelente variedad. Los camareros son muy amables, solo sería bueno si tuvieran un gafete para saber sus nombres y recordar con quién ir la próxima vez. ¿Cómo se llaman?

We asked our waiter at Barcelo where to go for real tacos and a true Mexican family restaurant. He sent us here. We were completely ignored upon arrival. No beer. Nachos had about 10 chips smothered in a black bean soup with no cheese. My son's quesadilla was burnt. The tacos were OK, but not the flavorfull treat we were expecting. We felt like because we're white tourists, we were not welcomed. It was a very bad experience but I still tipped $20 USD to hopefully change their attitudes. I was hoping for fun cultural experience for my teen boys. We felt unwelcomed and mistreated. Sad.

Our driver took us here on the way home from a cenote swim. Small, local eats with a great menu. Real Mexican Coke served in glass bottles and amazing homemade chips and guac. The nachos are the best you'll eat!

Agree this is a good value. 4 of us had main courses for $20.00. We were here on 1/23/2018. The restaurant is NOT in the tourist area. Rather it is in the area where the towns people live. The restaurant is on a busy 5:30 pm street. While it is open air, there is an overhang in case of some modest rain. The restaurant looked very well kept and clean. The employees very friendly ; it was obvious we were tourists and spoke very little spainish. The menu has an English translation and our waiter spoke sufficient English. He was very welcoming and friendly. We had sirloin fajitas, chicken fajitas, beef tacos, and tacos el pastor. All was very good. Portions good and tortillas nice and warm and fresh. The grilled meats and vegetables and pork tasted really fresh and good. All were seasoned nicely; salsa was provided separately: mild, moderate and hot spicy. The food was prepared and offered for the local population; it tasted very good. The restaurant has no alcohol drinks, but bottled water and some sweet drinks are available.
