Gasthof Rabensteiner

This beautiful Gasthof is located along the Sankt Paul Kulturrundwanderweg 3 (Saint Paul Culture Hiking loop path 3). As such, you can either choose to drive or leave your car in St Paul and hike up through the woods to the Gasthof. The Gasthof has extraordinary panoramic views over the Lavanttal valley flanked by the Koralpe and Saualpe mountains. A modern, but yet charming extension, means the views can be enjoyed both inside and out, with its glass floor to ceiling walls. The food is excellent and the service is friendly. Hot food is served Friday through to Sunday from lunch to 4pm. Outside these days and times, you can still order a Jausen (cold meat/salami/cheese/pickle platters). The gasthof soon fills up, so if you want a guarantee of a table, be sure to call in advance and make a reservation. I will certainly be back here!

A very successful building of a terrace that offers a beautiful view of the valley and the mountains (coralm!) has given this local a very special charm.Ob you sit inside (round window!) or happy with the weather and sits outside, the view is unique.Up to 16 o'clock there is warm kitchen, then only more jause later. the brettljaus’n is delicious and offers a wonderful selection of kärntner specialties.
