Bidra med feedbackWe like this restaurant very much. Food is excellent, however I asked for my steak well done and it was medium well. That is a bit disappointing. Service was not the best, but I believe we all have bad days. We have visited it at other times and it was better. We will definitely give it another chance. I am not a big fan of dogs in a restaurant, so I would prefer there were none but again, it is something I choose to ignore due to the generally excellent food, view and service. Do I recommend it? Of course. They do seem to have raised their prices since the renovation, as long as one knows what to expect €, then it is fine. I do look forward to my next visit.
Just had lunch there and was deeply impressed. Welcome and service was super friendly and attentive. And the food was simply amazing from the fresh and warm bread to the beef tartare they had as special of the day up to the self made chocolate which they served to the espresso. All in all a really nice experience. Only point to raise as negative is their pricing I’m from Switzerland and used to rather expensive food in restaurant but their prices even let me raise my eyebrows and I was wondering if they still use Schillings or if those are really Euro. But again food, service and also the atmosphere are stunning.
Staff with miserable attitude. Being in transit I did not have a reservation !! I asked for a free table. After checking the agenda I received a table for 4 persons. Soon after, we were picked up and expelled for the reason that ..... it's full. The problem was children (they did not see first !
After we were guided at the table and we received the water in the glasses, we were raised and kicked out because our colleague appeared at the table accompanied by a 2 year old child !!!
We ate at Haus am Hang simply because we arrived in St. Gilgen the night before Christmas and nothing else was open and all the grocery stores were closed so we couldn't cook ourselves. My German husband is tight with his money and would not have normally dined at such an expensive restaurant. But we had no choice. The restaurant turned out to be phenomenal. The food was wonderful, taste, texture, appearance and smell were superior. The view of the Wolfgang see was also very nice. Truthfully, I don't remember too much about the interior but I guess it was nice...if it wasn't, I would have definitely remembered that. We had such a nice experience that we went again for dinner a few nights later. Costs about 100 Euro per person for a multi-course menu including wine with each course). My nine year old daughter also loved her one-course meal. We paid about 30 Euro for her. The only negative was that they are allowed to bring their dogs into the restaurant. I think the owner has a small one that showed up close to closing time. It went into the kitchen. I have been living in Europe over 10 years and I have never gotten used this.
