Mels Family Diner - Sanford

Only an old school diver with fantastic home cooked meals. I've been there forever, and I finally got it. super tasty and super service. bt2 work they bring a jacket that they hold this joint around 65 degees.

Mel’s has been a staple of Sanford for many years. Just moved up this way and gonna be seeing a lot of me here in the near future. Great food and excellent service makes for a great breakfast! Gonna try lunch real soon too.

Mmm Mm mhmmm!! I came by here today for brunch with my friend and I was blown away. I read the reviews on Google and saw it was higher than Waffle House nearby so I figured this would a good place to eat. I also have not been to a diner before and wanted to experience it firsthand. There is construction around the area from the road. Despite the outside looks the inside looks very homely. Definitely a blast from the past. The waitress there was very nice and courteous. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with no ham with a side of a pancake (ate the pancake before I could take a picture of it! . Food came out in a timely manner (10-15 minute and was hot and delicious. I throughly enjoyed the meal and was definitely worth the money. I would say the pricing is similar to that of iHop now. You won’t regret coming by here for brunch or breakfast on your outing/ vacation trip. They also serve lunch options such as burgers too. Great service, great food and a cool atmosphere!

It was great nice little hometown spot. Food came out fast and it was good. Ide go back if I was in the area for breakfast again.

Lovely Diner experience, friendly staff even when they are under pressure. Imagine waiting on your food because they were short on staff but getting your food with an apology and a smile, didn't mind the wait really nice staff. Food tasted really good a warm southern taste and feel. Portion sizes were generous 2 pancakes are really hearty. Give them a try.
