I was confused when our navigation system brought us here, but it had the same old wooden sign that used to hang at the previous location, the lights were on, and there was a neon open sign. It used to be on a long, bumpy, dirt road in the middle of nowhere, but they moved to a very nice corner store front on a paved road much closer to Sandwich. It's about 3.6 miles up the road from the Corner House Inn. The ice cream is delicious, and they have a great variety of flavors. My favorite is the lemon squeeze. My son loves the grasshopper pie. We also like the black raspberry and coffee kisses. It was very well stocked tonight with half pints, pints, and quarts of lemon squeeze, chocolate chip, cinnamon chocolate espresso, black bear, oreo, black raspberry chocolate chip, cookie dough, peppermint stick, strawberry, mint chocolate chip, peach, ginger, coffee kisses, cow tracks, dirt road, s'mores, chocolate, and grasshopper pie. This is a self-serve and pay on the honor system place. Another big improvement from last year is: now they take Venmo! It used to be only cash or checks.
Sandwich Creamery is an adorable hidden gem! When you arrive you will be greeted by a self serve ice cream freezer and a unique honor system for payment where you can pay with cash or Venmo. The rich and creamy ice cream is beyond compare, giving you a delightful treat with every scoop. In addition to the unique system and wonderful ice cream, my 18 month old had a blast playing in their little kids' section, making it a perfect family friendly outing. Five stars without a doubt a must visit for anyone seeking a wholesome and unforgettable rustic New Hampshire ice cream adventure!
Best ice cream in the world, and a gorgeous spot to visit. Hoping we can still visit one cranky jerk tried to close them down last year Not sure if you can visit the location off Hannah road anymore. But I'll be going back to check
Quaint little place with phenomenal ice cream! The honor system is a throwback for sure, so nice to see people can still be trusted to do the right thing. We purchased ice cream, a frozen rhubarb pastry, smoked cheddar and boursin cheese. My husband accidentally logged in Brie cheese instead of the boursin we took home. Our apologies for the mix up, however we did leave 20% extra, which will make up for any cost discrepancy. Thank you for sharing your unique little place with the area folks, it made our day to visit. I do wish you the best of luck with the zoning debacle, and hope your neighbors give the harassment a rest.
This place is a hidden gem... I almost didn't want to leave a review and let people know about. But, that wouldn't be nice to keep all the yumminess to myself! To get to their shop, you really feel like you're going the wrong way... you have to drive down quite a bit of a bumpy, private dirty road. Don't be deterred; you are going the right way; you will get there; you won't regret it. Once you do arrive, you see a small shed like building. You go in and it is nicely decorated with two coolers and pre-packed ice cream in three different sizes. It is cash only and all on the honor system. You write down in a book what you took and put your cash in a slot. There were a variety of flavors to choose from. My friends and I got moose tracks, coffee, MJB and chocorua [i may have spelled that wrong] orange. The MJB (mocha ice cream with chocolate covered espresso beans was my favorite, but everything got rave reviews! If you don't plan on eating it there... or on your way back home (they have eco-friendly wooden spoons , make sure to bring yourself a cooler and ice. You'll likely want more than one flavor :
