Bidra med feedbackAfter seeing great reviews online of this place and we were staying near by our group of 15 decided to visit here for some cocktails and deserts. On arrival they put two tables together for us and handed out the menus. When we went to order the cocktails we were then informed they were for in-house guests only but we could order wine instead. To our astonishment they were turning away 30 cocktails of bussiness which we thought was ludicrous. This was the main reason why we came here. We decided we had no choose to leave unfortunately. A member of staff informed us the main reason was they only had enough spirits for 3 single cocktails which I can't believe tbh. We won't be returning and don't recommend
The surroundings are beautiful and there are some interesting local and western dishes on the menu, most priced around RM30 40. Unfortunately the portions are extremely small we had a main course and dessert each and I could have eaten the whole thing again (and I have a small appetite so normally when I eat out I'm too full for dessert). There are a few cocktails using local ingredients, plus the usual soft drinks and beers. We asked for a jug of filter water as well as our cocktails, and were told that it'd be RM5 (although this wasn't actually added to our bill in the end, maybe because we expressed surprise). Charging for filtered tap water seems needlessly penny pinching when customers are spending around RM100 each on food and drinks! Overall it was a nice meal but I probably wouldn't go back.
Great restaurant right in front of orangutan and sunbear centres. eating is slightly high-priced, but the quality was definitely worth it. we had both the Rind-Curry and the rindburger who were great! they cost us around 70 ringgit for the meal. we even had an amazing experience when one of the orangutans came to visit and tried to steal the human food, our day made.
Great food with a wonderful location and view. the personal was friendly and effective. the room was very clean and the bathroom were immaculate what we thiught was very impressive to see how we were surrounded by nature!
If you’re looking for breakfast spots in Sepilok, you’re not exactly spoiled for choice. Thankfully, the Lake Bistro is a pretty good option. Its surroundings are what makes it special, but the food is by no means bad. I just wish they made some of the dishes a bit simpler. For example, the rendang in my rendang sandwich was delicious, but I would have preferred to order it with rice (instead of a bun) and without fries.
