Bidra med feedbackSuper hosts who looked after us well. Easily the best garden salad we had on our holiday in Italy. Food was well prepared and service was excellent. Reasonable prices. Coffee at the end was served hot as we like it.
I spent a night here at the beginning of a trip around the dolomites. I stayed in a private room which was a good size with a really comfortable bed. As a rifugio it's basic as you'd expect- no satellite tv! Good shower for a small fee (you buy a token). Food at dinner was tasty with a couple of options to pick from, and breakfast a simple buffet affair with the usual stuff. An advantage of this rifugio is you can drive to it- the other nearby one requires you to come up the lift instead. Parking was free. The views from out of the front are lovely to wake up to.
This is an excellent place to stop for a meal after climbing or hiking. The staff are so friendly! My soup was excellent. As well, their coffee is very good as is usual on Italy, and reasonably priced.
Rifugio vecchio stile anche se accessibile in auto, gestore cortese, piatti semplici ma d'oca. prezzo nel posto medio. raccomandato
If you are looking for a treat after a climb on Cinque Torri this Rifugio is brilliant. Less than 10 min from the towering rocks you are able to enjoy the magnificent views and get a superb latte macchiato with a piece of warm strudel with ricotta which is a nice change to the usual Apfelstrudel (a little sadly it was a smallish piece). Other climbers told us that the food on offer for half board is also excellent, so we probably will try to stay there overnight next time. The drive up to the Rifugio on the steep and narrow road takes a good 20-25 min and only open till 9:30 and after 16:30.
