Bidra med feedbackHaving just boasted the brilliance and an Indian in Gibraltar our next review could not be more opposite. Hot off our recent joy in Gibraltar we found this restaurant in San Sebastian and following our nose. The restaurant probably seats 30 and it was empty and the waiter 'Ali ' tried to force us to sit where he wanted us to sit not where we wanted to sit. First hurdle over we ordered and the food was shocking. 4 poppadum 's and two sauces was 6 Euros which seemed a tad pricey for burnt 8 inch diameter poppadum 's. The Peshawari naan was a plain naan cover in sugar and coconut flakes and the Keema naan had not meat in at all. Now onto the rice, the vegetarian biryani cam with no sauce and the waiter Ali refused to ask the Chef for a small bowl of sauce to go with a plate of rice which was exactly the same of the other Pilau rice. The lamb madras was actually very nice but it was the ONLY part of the meal that was. Hard to say which was worse Ali the aggressive unhelpful waiter OR the food.
We went to this Indian on New Years Eve had a fabulous meal. We had the set menu for 2 (meat) the starter was huge delicious. The second course curries were equally delicious with plenty of flavour spice (we were asked if we wanted it spicy) we had a mango dessert which was ok. You have to take your own alcohol if you wish to have a drink but that keeps the coat down. All in all it was a fabulous meal we will definitely return when in the area again.
Best Indian Restaurant to enjoy wit friends and family, the infrastructure is good, foods are delicious and staffs are very much polite and professional
