Bidra med feedbackI want to be clear that I am not comparing this restaurant to the top steak places in San Francisco that we have tried. That being said, the service was fantastic. Our server greeted us warmly and recommended the calamari for appetizer, which we really enjoyed. However, I wasn't a fan of the clam chowder as I prefer a creamier consistency with more clams in it. We originally wanted the Tomahawk steak for two, but they were out of stock due to Valentine's Day, so we opted for the 16oz bone-in rib eye each. I ordered mine cooked medium and it was perfect. The steak was flavorful and delicious, just the way I like it. My wife prefers her steak between medium and medium-well, and they were able to cook it exactly as she requested, albeit taking a little longer to prepare. The owner even came out to apologize for the slight delay in my wife's order, which was a nice gesture. Our server made sure to keep us informed throughout the evening. While the quality of the meat wasn't on par with premier steak houses, it was still decent. My wife had a glass of house red wine, which she enjoyed. We had already had a couple of cocktails, otherwise we would have ordered a bottle, which was reasonably priced at $45. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The steak was good, the service was excellent, and the prices were reasonable. Plus, the restaurant is conveniently located nearby.
The staff was very friendly, but the food was not all that great. The lobster tail we got was dry and stuck onto the tail itself so it came apart when we tried to get any. It was also bland. The best part of the meal was the mashed potatoes and the sauteed kale or spinach idk that came as side dishes to the lobster tail, and the sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries are a 5/5 tbh. We also got the shrimp alfredo pasta which literally had 4 shrimp and it was also flavorless. I don't use a lot of salt when I cook, so for me to say something was bland is rare, especially eating out. Things are usually on the salty side for me. I wouldn't go back, and I wouldn't recommend going either.
Service was okay. Food was so-so. Came here for their steak but it was disappointing. My brother and I ordered Medium Rare steaks. His came more well done while mine was almost rare, a small part of it looked raw. Most of the items we got, mash potatoes, artichoke dip, and spinach, were too salty. No one checked if our food was alright. Their cocktails were the highlight. Really well made and well blended. Just disappointed because I took my family here for dinner after not seeing them in a while.
I would not recommend this restaurant. The steak was cooked incorrectly and the wrong one was served. Additionally, half of the desserts listed on the menu were not available. The server even argued with us about our order. I do not plan on returning.
The meal was just right, but the server (Alfonso) was a delight attentive and fun...
