Bidra med feedbackFor the longest time I could not bear the smell of pho (like, lol). but now that the baby boy is here, I am happy to report that I can finally enjoy pho again! that's a solid phospot. service is friendly and fast. they can either be on their table on their phone or with one of the servers. Eat is coming out quickly. there is also a Boba Square. perfect wise to get something fruity and refreshing to go with her suppe.
Don't get the lemongrass pork or chicken. One piece cooked, the other wasn't and I ended up getting stomach ache. Banh Mi is solid though. Good enough to make me come back. Ordered on DoorDash and have been waiting 45 mins past the expected finish time.
The family tried this place recently for the first time and we ordered the thai iced tea, kids' chicken pho soup, and the lemongrass pork with egg rice plate. We can't tell if the pho soup was great because our kiddo was starving at this point since we were eating later than normal in the evening, but he finished it all except for a few strips of chicken. The thai iced tea is not the greatest (think T4 quality), but the kicker of the meal was the lemongrass pork. Although the dish was certainly flavorful and tasted great, we could not taste the lemongrass at all. Now to the ambience... this place looks better than most average/non-fancy Vietnamese restaurants. Plus the service was decent. The food came in decent time after placing our order and water refills were on point without waiting excessively. We'll be trying this place again because although our overall dining experience wasn't horrible nor great, this place is definitely worth another chance in case the other dishes or drinks are better than what we tried.
Last week I posted a review for Pho Tai in Dublin. Today, I spontaneously decided to try Pho Hoa in San Ramon. I have to say to those who gave this place a 5-star rating are either very generous or their meals were just outstanding. Today I wanted to compare fresh garnish usually served with pho: bean sprouts, jalapenos, Thai basil, lemon or lime wedges and cilantro. All should be fresh. Sorry to say Pho Hoa, just like Pho Tai didnt pass my freshness test. The basil obviously edges browning and the jalapenos looked like left overs from the weekend. Fresh cut jalapenos are always bright green. Also both places do not include cilantro. The pho was okay but cloudy. Here are a few pics. My quest to find a great Pho place continues.
The first time we came here we ordered to go. We got the strawberry fusion, treat and sip, and Thai tea drinks with boba. We were surprised by the size and that the boba were cooked perfectly. The next time we came we ate at the restaurant. We ordered in person and you also have the option to order via QR code. Either way you get your order quickly. We got the pho and boba tea this time. The pho size was a good portion and tasted great! The spring rolls were also fresh. The staff are friendly and efficient. The restaurant is also clean. Check out was easy as well. I paid at the counter but you can also pay via your phone. This place has quickly become one of our favorites. Highly recommended!
