Bidra med feedbackA word terrible. Service terrible, completely overpriced menu. 120 pesos for a glass of house wine? And from 8 beers on menu only an available cold. We went pretty sharp before we could get torn down. Place is nice, but what a farewell. Not here! There are so many better options in Cholula...
Puebla has dozens of amazing restaurants in the old town. But I guess there's a fly in every cake somewhere. We chose one of the most popular facilities in the city for dinner on the first weekend, as a treat for our host. Everything seemed good: the place seemed excellent: in a three-storey building in the heart of the city, with amazing indoor trees, funky lighting and an interesting collection of works of art scattered everywhere on each level, with many rooms open up to terraces and balconies overlooking the surrounding city and the Zona Arqueológica de Cholula, which is the main feature of this city. The whole room is a blooming, exciting set of Vistas on every row.. The weather was great, and we were there for an early dinner, so we decided to sit outside on the upper level terraces and watch the sunset. All right, so far: our drinks came, though slowly, as if they were gone or miles to get there, and then it slowly went down. Service was so daring sluggish that they totally ignored us. It took forever to go a few snacks, and then forever get any kind of attention. All we could do was Chicken-Bits, Tostas de Camaron and Pollo en Salsa de Pe, and a beer that just started. The dishes were excellent and very well balanced, but the waiting threw us completely. We decided that we would have gone enough. When we asked after the check, another inappropriate waiting followed at the point where our host had enough and had started without waiting. Of course, this has shocked a bit, because they didn't want to let us go without paying our check... and chased us down to the front lobby to present the harmful object. I paid and didn't leave a tip, but later discovered that the facility had added a tip for itself... not that it was a big crowd, but in principle it was creepy to do this. For the three of us, our tab came to 650 pesos, which at the time approximately $32.00. But we had to go without a full meal. Looking back, NOT like the Mexico experience, and not worth the time or energy: stay away.
A looooong menu with everything you need after a day of walking or tired mood. Drinks, local dishes, great menu range and friendly staff. Don't miss it. You stay and enjoy the afternoon!
Went there tonight and the menu had Caesar salads, pasta, Jamaican chicken etc, nothing Mexican on it. We left after ordering drinks and went to a Mexican restaurant a few blocks away. Cus Cus Cus is a tourist's place, as there's nothing authentic about it. We did order a meat/cheese plate with our drinks which was mediocre; rubbery cheese, skinny olives smashed onto toothpicks and a couple of pieces of hard bread. Awful. On top of that, when we paid, the waitress kept our change, thinking I guess that we were tourists too stupid to ask for change. We had to ask her for it which came without an apology. If you're looking for decent, good food, this is not the place for you as Cholula is full of wonderful places with traditional local food.
