Bidra med feedbackWe were a few times and enjoyed our meal each time. A favorite restaurant in the area for me and my husband.
Fortino's is located in the small Mexican village of Colimilla, over the lagoon of the town of Barra de Navidad. It is a wonderful restaurant directly on the water and if you are in Barra, easily accessible with water taxi. If you go to the Fortino stand, I think the boat trip is free. We stay in the city of Colimilla, so that we have been there several times this year and it was excellent every time. The night menu includes sushi that is fresh and tasty. The coconut yarns are also excellent. My husband always commands the fresh crab and was never disappointed. They make an extraordinary margarita in Fortinos and this alone is worth the trip. Several times on the way home from Barra I jump out of the boat and drive there for a refreshing drink before I go home! It is a wonderful family business with excellent service!
We had there on 8. February lunch and had a table overlooking the lagoon. Service is excellent and friendly, in this family-run and guided restaurant. Coconut shrimp delicious but very fill out (you get a lot). One person had the prawns Fontino style and my cuff had fish fillet Fontino style (with onions). They both snapped over the taste of the delicious Fontino style. We'll be back.
We ate here three times and the food was good on all three visits. Consistency is a good thing. The restaurant is on the bay and needs a water taxi to get there although you can walk from the Grand Bay Hotel. Service was good,...great little restaurant with strong Margaritas.
We recently drove to Fortinos for early dinner. The restaurant is located above the lagoon of Barra de Navidad in the small town of Colimilla. A short water taxi ride will take you directly to your door. I ordered the coconut shrimps that were quite large and tasty. My husband had the crab he had enjoyed. If you want a nice afternoon, a trip to Colimilla is fine.
