Longhorn Smokehouse

The restaurant was very busy and had only two servers. We waited about 10 minutes to order a drink. After we finally got to order our dinners, we waited at least 30 minutes to get the food. My filet mignon (the special at $150) was very rare instead of the medium I asked for, but by then I was not about to send it back to the kitchen. It was tasty though! The mashed potatoes tasted like Betty Crocker's instant, but again, tasty enough. The salad was good. My husband's hamburger was okay but it was served with about 10 frozen crinkle fries. Not one Mexican in the restaurant except the servers.

Los cortes son muy buenos y frescos, el ambiente es agradable pero lo que molesta es el servicio que proporcionan los meseros...

Disappointed to the max. Nothing seemed to be available...with the exception of burgers and chicken. Even the draft beer tap ran dry on this slow evening. The burger was served to me on a boring bun with a blob of blue cheese hovering over a limp tomato. The French fries were reputed to be fresh cut...but...alas...they had the pallor and texture of a Costco giant economy special. The diet coke even lost its fizz.I felt so sorry for the waitress who obviously had no part in this debacle. It seems that the owner simply did not take the time to supply the restaurant, and left his staff to deal with the fallout. I had heard good things about the specials, but I will not return to this establishment. I simply feel that if your restaurant is open for business, you should make your best effort to please your customers and offer items that are on your menu...not rocket science.

Por mucho la experiencia más difícil culinariamente hablando, después de 15 minutos me para para ver si podían atendernos, las bebidas bien, a la hora de pedir tienen una carta amplia pero que se redujo a hamburguesas sin papas? No pavo, no costillas, no nada, muy mala experiencia, no creo debas tener un restaurant con tantas carencias, espero mejoren pero por mi parte no puedo recomendar este lugar en San Miguel de Allende.

Longhorn Smokehouse is a local Gringo hangout with specials every night. My favorite is Thursdays. Thursday night is filet mignon night. It comes with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled veggies and all for 120 pesos. Ice cold beer is 25 pesos. Your cant go wrong is you love steak. Plus many big screen tvs to keep up with all the sporting events. Keith is a friendly host who makes you feel right at home.
