Philz Coffee - San Mateo

WOW, I didn't realize the concept was to brew each cup individually. They deliver on that great concept.

Rude service and subpar Philz drinks.Ordered a mint mojito, and they were busy chatting with each other rather than paying attention to the line.My drink, which I asked for more mint, had very little mint, and I asked for light cream, and it was regular cream. I would have had them remake the drink but the woman in front of me ordered a Rose drink and they made it wrong and they were busy trying to fix her drink and when they did it was still wrong so she walked out.I felt if they can't fix her drink then why bother. It's an expensive waste of $6.

The barista Yvonne was beyond kind this evening. I came in just after they closed and didn't realize it. She confirmed if I was ordering a hot chocolate I had my 3 year old with me. Yvonne offered to make the hot chocolate which I was very appreciative of. Then she went a step further and didn't charge us since they had shut the registers down. I had come in about 20 minutes prior to this and unfortunately had to leave and come back since my daughter needed to use the restroom. My daughter was very happy of course. I am so grateful for Yvonne's kindness and for her making my kiddos night. Thank you!

I just ordered a small coffee and I accidentally give 3 dollars. I was going to give a dollar instead. I just wanted cashier to fix it but She didn’t. She pretended like Going back is impossible but It is actually possible. I hope that they can read this review. You got 2 more dollars for tips and Are you happy with that?

Love the mint mojito. I haven't found another favorite yet. I tried the gratitude and it was too bitter for me.
