Maldonado's Mexican - San Luis Obispo

Their mole was some of the best I’ve ever had. Wet burrito turned out delicious. Very friendly service too!

I 'd never been to Maldonados so I was eager to try a new Mexican restaurant in SLO. I saw they had a Taco Tuesday special in Menus magazine, so I pulled up at about 3PM on a Tuesday ... and the place was locked and bolted! I checked both entrances just to make sure, but it was completely shut down. This despite the fact that they had a giant Now Open! sign right in front of the restaurant! I 've had several experiences like this in SLO and it 's always frustrating. Why have a business, why advertise, why put out big We 're Open! signs and then just be closed at random times during regular business hours? Maybe I 'm coming off as a whiner, but isn 't this just a tad irresponsible? Isn 't it kind of a middle finger to your customers? C 'mon businesses you have customers out here who want to support you. Why are you making it so difficult for us?

I was in town visiting and for dinner I was craving cheese enchiladas with mole sauce. Based on people’s reviews I chose to come Maldonado’s. I am a particular of where I eat. I ordered enchiladas with mole sauce and omg they were delicious. I ate all of them even though I was full. I recommend this restaurant.

Maldonados has a somewhat funky location because it is connected to a motel, but I was pleasantly surprised by my experience there. The people working were kind, the prices were great for a big plate of Mexican food in this area, and the food was good.

I just got the Enchiladas de Mole and they were excellent! I finally found an authentic mexican restaurant in SLO that makes their own mole sauce!!!Thank You Maldonados!
