Bear The Wren - San Luis Obispo

The pizza here is bomb!! The restaurant is super cute and has a garage style design for their indoor seating. We got their piada (flatbread with their ricotta cheese spread) the bread is so fluffy and airy and the cheese spread with garlic is so smooth and delicious! Highly recommend ordering this to share with the table. We ordered the brussel and kale salad, which was light and refreshing. The mushroom pizza Neapolitan style was my absolute favorite! It was thin crusted with a white sauce and lots of mushroom. It's wasn't too heavy like some white sauce pizzas; it was so good. We also got the chicken bacon ranch Detroit style! It was nice thick crust but not heavy. It was airy and also really good, but I'm just a thin crust pizza kind of girl haha Highly recommend! The service was great too. The server kept checking up on.

The pizza is superb here. I had the Detroit and my boyfriend had the Margherita. Both are amazing. The environment in the dinning room is so inviting and cozy. I loved all the rich colors that make you feel at home. We want to go back soon.

I'm not sure why this place has good reviews, thin crust pizza has hardly anything on them and is very expensive for what you're getting, even though we ordered extra cheese, I didn't taste any. We had a pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom with extra cheese and the toppings were so light it was a joke. The salad was 15 dollars and was only lettuce, and not much of it besides. I'm embarrassed by eating there. The pumpkin cheese cake was delicious I have to give them credit for that, but that's it. This was their second chance and they failed, again. Not going back and not recommended.

Best gluten free pizza crust! Wouldn't even know it was gluten free. The butternut squash pizza was out of this world with the goat cheese and balsamic. Wait staff was fun and friendly. Manager gave us a delicious slice of homemade pumpkin cheesecake with graham cracker crust for our anniversary. Going back for pizza again.

We had an amazing dine-in experience (no reservation). It was our first time there, and the service was incredible. The servers gave us so much help with our 2 toddlers and were so accommodating and attentive. They have really nice indoor/outdoor atmosphere. The food was incredible and left us wanting to go back to try everything else on the menu. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
